A tear in the meniscus, the C-shaped piece of cartilage that acts as a shock absorber between your shinbone and thighbone.
Common Symptoms
- A popping sensation
- Swelling or stiffness
- Pain, especially when twisting or rotating your knee

- A feeling of your knee "locking" or catching
