Calcaneal Spur (Heel Spur)
A calcium deposit causing a bony protrusion on the underside of the heel bone.
Common Symptoms
- Sharp pain in the heel, especially in the morning
- Dull ache in the heel throughout the day
- Inflammation and swelling at the front of the heel
Potential Causes
- Often associated with plantar fasciitis
- Strain on foot muscles and ligaments
- Stretching of the plantar fascia
